Microbiology Laboratory
The Microbiology Laboratory is a complete diagnostic lab that performs bacteria; yeasts and molds; tissue, include culture from a wide variety of corneal ulcer specimens, special stains. Histopatuology of ccular tissues is also done for tissue specimens.,Once isolated and identified, antibiotic susceptibility testing is performed on bacteria susceptibility testing on yeast .
Additional activities include infection control programs, surveillance cultures for the detection and monitoring operation theatre flora, supporting control and prevention of associated infections, and applied research.
