What is cornea grafting--- When cornea is diseased or has become white or gray and person is unable to see with that eye. a new cornea can be transplanted in place of the old one . That is done from the eye donations. The new transparent cornea can allow good vision. Who needs cornea grafting (cornea transplant) ?

A number of conditions can be treated with a cornea transplant, including:

  • Thinning of the cornea
  • Cornea scarring, caused by infection or injury
  • Clouding and swelling of the cornea
  • Corneal haze after cataract operation.
  • Advanced Keratocomnus
  • Corneal dystrophies and defects since birth.
  • Corneal ulcers, including those caused by infection
